Last month I made a trip into the accessories store “Charming Charlie” to pick up some fun jewelry for my friends. I made the decision that I would not be purchasing anything for myself seeing as that I have been trying to save as much money as I can for my trip to California {whoop whoop which is at the end of this week, I can’t believe it!}. SO obviously as I walked around and searched the shelves for the perfect accessories to complement my friends personal styles, I found this amazing hat and this super chic fur cuff. The best part? The hat was on sale for $9.99 and the cuff was $4.99! I mean my decision to not spend went right out the window when I saw those prices, who could say no to that? Especially since I had been searching and searching for both of these items at a multitude of stores. I also love the colors of these two items especially since it coordinates with the Pantone Color of the Year! Thanks to Charming Charlie I found what I was looking for {oh yeah I got my friends great stuff too} and I didn’t break the bank!

Also I just have to say that after watching last nights episode of Pretty Little Liars  I am sad that people do not dress like that anymore, it was so chic and lady-like. I am a sucker for old fashioned clothing. Except Paige’s whole look {especially her hair}. I wasn’t a fan of that, but her makeup looked gorgeous!

Since I am going to California I won’t be posting again until next week, but don’t fret because I’ll have some awesome outfit/food/travel posts for y’all! I really hit the mother load at Forever 21 and Discovery for my trip! Plus, all the shopping I’ll be doing there! Hello Melrose Trading Post! Have a wonderful rest of the week everyone, I know I will!

Eternity.

It seems like an eternity since I have shared anything on this blog and there is so much I have to say. {Anyone that personally knows me would chime in right about now with some quip on how much I talk.} I’m not really one to come up with excuses as to why I’ve been away seeing as that I don’t believe anyone would care, but as I logged on today I have had several looks upon my blog everyday so I realize that yeah maybe some people might care! So to those people, I am sorry it’s been so long since I posted something new! I have many ideas/photos/outfits/makeup/hair ideas that I want to share and will as soon as I can get it all down! As for now I’ll leave you with these teasers;

Inspiration can be found in the strangest of places.

Spring is all about change. Change of weather, change of hair, change of clothing styles, and definitely a change of attitude {at least for me}. Lately here in my little town, spring has been trying to break through the clouds and show it’s face. These pictures will show you that it is doing a pretty good job! Inspiration can be found anywhere and lately for me it has been on a long country road with the sun beaming in the sky.

Where do you find inspiration in your daily life? Write me and let me know. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and enjoys this spring weather. It’s creeping and creeping closer to the 50’s everyday here so we are basically in a heat wave! Here’s to a week of lighter jackets, inspiration, and my birthday, which is on Friday! Much Love- Jenny

I can dress myself.

What is better than your go-to LBD and a one of a kind necklace? Oh yeah a steaming cup of coffee to go with it. Plus some killer nails. Oh and some cartoons. SO basically what I am saying is that I rocked it this morning. Then off to work to do some hair. Saturdays, I don’t always love you. But today I did! Love, me.

{Sitting pretty waiting to be worn.} {Not shown but paired this with some awesome camel flats and mismatched gold studs.}

{Rocking from pinky to thumbnail:Essie-Blanc, Essie-Case Study accented with polka dots using a white nail polish pen, Essie-Good as Gold {their new metallics line}, Essie-Blanc again, and OPI- A-Taupe The Space Needle. Can you tell that I am sort-of obsessed with Essie?} {All nails were prepped with CND Toughen Up Base Coat and finished with CND Air Dry Top Coat.}

{Close up of this gorgeous gifted bauble to me by my best friends Mama, and my second Mama. It is from Ginger Blossom’s in Richmond, IL. Check them out if you want amazing items from all over the world! She thinks this necklace is from India, but couldn’t remember! It will always be close to my heart because it was such a thoughtful gift!}

I hope your Saturday was as lovely as mine, let the weekend live on! As for me I am going to the beach tomorrow with my new book {Savages, cannot wait to read}, my SPF 50 {I always practice safe sun}, and some pre-made frozen drinks. Happy trails. Much Love- Jenny

I Solemnly Swear That I am Up To No Good.

I’ve been gone awhile from the wonderful world of blogging due to technology issues (meaning the internet stopped working and we couldn’t figure out how to get it back on) but I am back and excited to start sharing my  prelude to summer {and eventually summer} with everyone. As for now all I have is what I did tonight. Drank an Illinois wine and watched Harry Potter. Who wouldn’t want to spend their Tuesday night like that? Much Love- Jenny

Crepes A’ Latte, a Chicago gem.

One of my favorite things about Chicago is the plethora of locally owned places to eat. There is a never ending parade of yummy treats, original drinks, and awesome atmospheres up and down almost every major road there. A couple of my favorite include {but are not limited to}; Bad Dog Tavern, Red Eye Coffee, The Wild Goose, Corner 41, and now this lovely little spot Crepes A’ Latte! {These are all in the North Center area, where I spend all my time.} They have awesome food, some really cool employees, and yummy crepes! What wouldn’t you like about this place? {Also the bathroom is clean which my best friend Leilani insists is important to share!} So if you are in North Center and decided you need a crepe, please give this place a go! You won’t be disappointed!

{The inside decor, it is adorable in there!}

{Peanut Butter and Jelly crepe, with cut up bananas and peanuts inside. Seriously, try this when you go!}

{Art on the wall. How cool is this?}

So in conclusion make it a priority to try Crepes A’ Latte! It is so delicious you will quickly make it one of your favorite places too! Much Love-Jenny
